Welcome to the official web site of the Point Boro First Aid Squad. Since 1968, The Point Boro First Aid Squad has been providing emergency medical services as well as extrication to the residents of Point Pleasant Borough. As of 2009, eight members of the Point Borough First Aid squad were brought on to the Point Pleasant Borough Fire Department Water Rescue Unit.
The Point Boro First Aid Squad is 100% volunteer and runs on donations from the community.
Squad 35 is comprised of 60 members, 55 of which are certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT). The squad currently has 9 Cadets, which 5 hold their Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) license. Cadets range in age from 16-18, and still attend high school.
The squad responds to approximately 1400 calls a year. These calls range from heart attacks to motor vehicle accidents and fires. Squad 35 is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Often, the members are called on to cover calls in Point Pleasant Beach, Bay Head, Mantoloking and Brick Township.
